Such specifications include: ASTM A269 “Specification for seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel tubing for general service” ASTM A249 “Specification for welded austenitic steel boiler, super heater, heat exchanger, and condenser tubes” AS1528 was revised in 2001 by key stakeholders in the Australian food manufacturing and tube industries. AS 1528 is unique, in that it covers all the associated fittings in addition to the tube. All specifications pertain to common grades, such as grades 304, 304L, 316 and 316L. AS1528.1 covers all grades of duplex and austenitic stainless steel listed in ASTM A240. All specifications need fusion-welded products without filler metals.
